The Nuori Kulttuuri Festival 2025

The Nuori Kulttuuri Festival is a multi-site youth art festival between April 12th and May 17th, 2025.

The Nuori Kulttuuri Festival visits seven different cities

Tornio, Oulu, Kokkola, Kuopio, Savonlinna, Kaarina, and Äänekoski will host young art enthusiasts in the spring of 2025.

Multidisciplinary Arts
The event does not focus solely on individual art forms but offers a diverse range of content, from dance to theater, circus to spoken word poetry, and skateboarding to rap.

The Nuori Kulttuuri Festival is a unique place for young art enthusiasts to meet, be amazed, and learn something new. This national festival brings together participants from various art forms in their local regions and, through digital tools, from all over Finland.

Performances
The festival provides performance opportunities for hobbyists in different art disciplines. Within the Nuori Kulttuuri activities, we follow the principles of safer spaces, which also form the foundation for safe performances: Here, we encourage and give praise, not put down or criticize!

Learning
One of the central elements of the festival is learning.

Over forty contributors involved in producing the event learn from each other during the process. The young creators learn from one another and from professional artists. Adults participating in discussion sessions learn from the youth, and vice versa. The audience learns from the young creators, and the creators learn from each other.

Long live learning and encountering the new!
