The Nuori Kulttuuri Festival 2025

The Nuori Kulttuuri Festival is a multi-site youth art festival between April 12th and May 17th, 2025.

This is a festival dedicated to young people’s own culture! The festival offers a unique opportunity for young people to be at the heart of the action and share their dreams, skills and creativity. The festival spring consists of a diverse range of youth art forms and youth cultures, all combined into an unforgettable experience. More than 50 content producers deliver engaging content to cities.

The festival highlights the role of young people in culture and their ability to create communities where everyone can experience and learn from each other. This is an event where young people can express themselves and develop their cultural skills in an interactive environment where belonging and inclusion are at the heart of the experience. We believe that culture and creativity can unite and empower young people – this festival is a great opportunity to experience it for yourself!

The Nuori Kulttuuri Festival visits seven different cities

Tornio, Oulu, Kokkola, Kuopio, Savonlinna, Kaarina, and Äänekoski will host young art enthusiasts in the spring of 2025.

Multi-arts programme
The event does not focus solely on individual art forms, but offers diverse content, from dance to theatre, circus to aesthetic poetry, and from skateboarding to rap.

Nuori Kulttuuri festivaali is a unique place for young artists to meet, marvel and learn something new. The national festival brings together young people from different art forms from their neighbouring regions and, via digital tools, from all over Finland.

Performances
The festival offers stages for performers from different art forms. In the Nuori Kulttuuri activities, we apply the principles of safer spaces, which also lay the foundations for a safe performance environment: with us, we encourage and praise, not diss or criticise!

Learning
One of the key elements of the festival is learning.

Over forty actors producing the event learn from each other in the process. The young people creating the content learn from each other and from art professionals. Adults participating in discussion sessions learn from young people, and vice versa. The audience learns from the young creators, and the creators from each other.

Long live learning and encountering the new!
